I felt so blessed to be touched by one of God’s creatures
so pure and corrupt
so beautiful and ugly
so distant and touchable
he touched me
sweetly... he picked me up
over his arms my legs dangled
my back cradled
my heart to his chest
steps taken swiftly
I easily called him the best

ever
had.

ive been touched by an angle
when I died I saw heaven
and earth meet again
I kissed the Lord’s feet
and laughed at the devil’s defeat
I cried at the wings he seeked
and held my angel tighter throughout the night
excited that he gave me life
in places I never knew I lived
with feelings I never did
so pure and corrupt
so beautiful and ugly
so distant and touchable
he kissed me and devoured my soul
I loved his control
this angel with strength of the sun
weakness of the moon
hydration left me all too soon
as I landed under his arms
soft and brown
he kissed my crown gently good night
while warming my soul just right
his angelic fingertips on the honey dip of my back
his soft breath on my ear
and pulsating heartbeat against my breast
his soft naked skin
naked within my flesh
I couldn’t be any more imperfect
next to this angel I laid
so I held on to his dream
and beside him I stayed
this angel would be arriving to heaven soon
with me on his arm
what would God think?
that I took someone so perfect for me
so pure and corrupt
so beautiful and ugly

this angel was capable
of loving me
breathing heavily as I climbed into the sun
he tasted my moon
with a glass of milk
my angel laid so quietly
protecting me from all evil
he prayed so lightly
as if whispering in God’s ear
that I would be the one
